Prior to moving to Ireland, Elizabeth graduated from Michigan State University with a BSc in Kinesiology and Athletic Training. During her time at Michigan State, she spent three years working with NCAA Division 1 Athletes under world class athletic trainers in Women’s Basketball, American Football, Field Hockey, and Swimming and Diving. In addition to collegiate athletes, Elizabeth had a summer internship in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation which gave her experience training older adults and teaching fitness classes for patients with arthritis, diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis/osteopenia, Parkinson’s and cardiovascular disease. Elizabeth was also a coach to athletes with disabilities for 5 years at Michigan State and with Special Olympics.
Elizabeth then moved to Ireland and completed her MSc in Physiotherapy at the University College of Dublin. During this time, she gained experience working with cardiorespiratory, neurological, and musculoskeletal patients in inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. She has recently started at Ballsbridge Physiotherapy. Elizabeth is also an APPI certified Pilates teacher focuses on integrating Pilates into traditional physiotherapy practice. She teaches Beginners Pilates classes in addition to the Stronger for Longer Course at the clinic.
Elizabeth is interested in musculoskeletal injuries of the shoulder, knees, ankles, and low back. Elizabeth loves to work with clients of all ages and all abilities to help them achieve their fitness goals.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys exercising, crafting, watching Netflix, traveling, and spending times with friends and family.
