The Run-A-Muck challenge takes place on March 5th at Clonkerran House, Co.Kildare. Known as being one of Ireland’s most original and popular off-road obstacle course for runners and joggers of all abilities.
The main aim of this challenge is not only to test both your physical and mental abilities. But most importantly it is aimed at you having a fun, enjoyable time. The event involves a cross-country run over a wet and muddy course with man made and natural obstacles. Such as bale jumps, net scrambles, slides, Tarzan swings, tyres, tunnels and much more.
Although it is an event aimed at having fun, it is still important to make sure that you are prepared. Make sure you take note of the following tips:
The most important thing to keep in mind during the Run-A-Muck challenge is to enjoy the day and not overexert yourself. If there are any particular obstacles that you are uncomfortable about doing, you can skip over and move on to the next part of the course. At any stage if you do not feel well or feel dizzy, stop and rest.
If you have any questions before the challenge or wish to book an appointment to have your running posture evaluated before the day, contact us here at Ballsbridge Physiotherapy Clinic.
