Quads Strain – Symptoms and Treatment
A strain of the quadriceps muscles at the front of the thigh is a common musculoskeletal injury seen at Ballsbridge Physiotherapy. A sudden sharp pain at the front of the thigh, that comes on while sprinting, can indicate a quads strain. The quadriceps muscle consists of four parts: rectus femoris, vastus medialis, vastus lateralis and vastus intermedius. Usually one of these parts is injured in a quads strain.
