There are various types of injury which take different lengths of time to heal. Everyone is different and injury recovery time varies in people. Equally clients may need varying numbers of treatment sessions with their chartered physiotherapist to recover from injury. Some people may only require a few sessions for a minor injury.
Those who have more serious pain or mobility issues may require more. There are people for whom regular physiotherapy is a part of their routine, for example if they have ongoing illness or pain issues. If you suffer an injury and visit the experts at Ballsbridge Physiotherapy Clinic you will be treated by skilled, ethical and professional physiotherapists who will make sure that you get the best treated, specifically tailored for you.
When you have your initial appointment with your physiotherapist, she or he will go through an assessment process, whereby they look at your injury and ascertain the severity of the injury and the treatment sessions needed. Usually at this stage, if the injury does not appear to be too complicated, your physiotherapist may be in a position to give you an estimate in relation to the number of visits you need to make. It must be remembered that the body is a complex thing and so too can an injury be. Depending on the nature of the injury, its location and severity, the number of sessions can vary from person to person and injury to injury.
It is vital that you follow any plan agreed between yourself and your physiotherapist. If you have been given daily exercises to do to strengthen and regain function, it is important to stick to them. They are an essential tool in your recovery. If you fail to keep up the exercises prescribed by your physiotherapist, you may suffer setbacks.
At Ballsbridge Physiotherapy Clinic we pride ourselves on searching out the best outcomes for all our clients. Our aim is to help you get over injury as soon and as safely as possible. We will work closely with you to help ease pain and regain normal movement. Sometimes this can be done in a few sessions. Sometimes it takes longer. We will only treat you for as many sessions as we believe you require.
We may give you an exercise and strengthening plan for you to continue on your own at home, which we will occasionally review or we may just see you for a short while. The focus is on your recovery from injury and we do everything to make sure that this is done as carefully and as quickly as possible. Sometimes recovery from injury is a long road. In those cases we will be with you making sure that you get the very best of treatment along the way.
