There are many types of pain, be it sudden from an accident, medium term as a result of an injury or chronic pain, meaning pain that lasts beyond normal heal time. This is usually considered to be 3 or 6 months. Whatever the type of pain, you should not suffer needlessly. There are a range of ways to cope with discomfort. Pain management is an important part of the coping process, in particular for those dealing with chronic pain.
