‘A Lust for Life’ Park Run: Run for your Wellbeing

12Feb

‘A Lust for Life’ Park Run

On the 5th of March, the Irish Independent’s ‘A Lust for Life’ Park Run is being held at 10am in Phoenix Park. Participants can opt to run either the 5km route or 10km route on the day.

This event is fast becoming one of the biggest and most important running events to focus on raising awareness of the importance of wellbeing. Last year, over 4,000 runners helped to spread A Lust for Life’s message to ‘Run for Life’ and pledged their support to this worthy cause.

A Lust for Life is an organisation, which aims to raise awareness of and support those who are suffering from both mental and physical health problems. Their aim is to help individuals to improve their overall sense of wellbeing and to encourage them to actively seek the advice and help they may need to get them through the tougher periods of life. They are an active source of information and support for those who wish to know more about the wellbeing movement.

If you wish to take part in the ‘A Lust for Life’ Park Run, you can sign up here.

Physiotherapy and Wellbeing

Physiotherapy plays a big role when it comes to an individual’s wellbeing. Due to the nature of people’s lives such as; long working hours, sitting at a desk all day and lack of regular exercise are factors needed to maintain a healthy level of wellbeing which are ignored by many.

Whether a physical injury due to sports or a stress related issue, there are many physiotherapy treatments that can help to improve your sense of wellbeing. From manual therapy, dry needling, Pilates classes or a specifically designed exercise program, physiotherapy can prove to be invaluable to a person’s overall wellbeing.

Here at Ballsbridge Physiotherapy Clinic, our chartered physiotherapists are expertly trained and experienced in the treatment of many different sports, work and non-work related injuries. If you wish to book an appointment or have a question that you would like to ask, you can contact us here.
